Mondelez International, the maker of Oreo cookies in India has moved the Delhi High Court against Parle Products. Mondelez International has alleged that Parle has copied its Oreo cookies, and that the Indian biscuit maker's Fabio biscuits are 'deceptively similar to Oreo cookies. As per court documents, the case has been filed by a unit of Mondelez International, Intercontinental Great Brands. The court will be hearing the matter on April 12. As per the documents, Mondelez International had asked for an earlier hearing date but the High Court has stuck to April 12. In similar cases last year, Britannia Industries had dragged Future Group and ITC to court over trademark infringement allegations for their various biscuit products.
